Clarification of Misconceptions Involving Tiger-Sul Sulphur Products
Tiger-Sul sulphur products are formulated with molten sulphur and bentonite clay as the primary ingredients. Elemental sulphur is a dry, yellow crystalline solid, insoluble in water. When elemental sulphur is heated to 250°F (121°C) it forms a flowable product that can be pumped which facilitates the production process. Elemental sulphur in the flowable state is referred to as molten sulphur. In the fluid state other additives can be added such as bentonite clay, and various micronutrients which are mixed for specified time to ensure complete mixing. This process provides a homogeneous mixture pumped to the pastille/granule formation process.
